About Four Square Mile

Four Square Mile loves poetry, poetry workshops, spoken word, stationery, pillows, drinkware, keychains,  and the power of words.

Montez poetic career spans over two decades, during which Montez has written several poetry books and recorded spoken word CD. Montez work is bold, fresh, and vibrant; questioning social, economic and religious implications that define us. Vernon, NY and The Prince George’s County Memorial Library System, MD.

After being in the literary arts business for over two decades, Montez  realized a need to increase the pool of poetic voices and readers of the written word. In 2015, Montez stepped into the role of poetry workshop facilitator, where she passionately promotes poetry to a bouquet of hues, ethnicity, host of genders, and cross generations in Maryland and abroad.
