VOICES of
MT. VERNON
A Four Square Mile Signature Literary Experience
VOICES of MT. VERNON is a community‑rooted poetry and performance series that shines a light on the creative brilliance, cultural memory, and lived experiences of Mt. Vernon, NY. Curated and produced by Four Square Mile, the program gathers poets, cross‑generation voices, cultural workers, and local leaders for an afternoon where reflection meets artistry and storytelling becomes a shared pulse.
What emerges is more than an event — it is a cultural archive in motion. A space where language bridges generations, creativity sparks connection, and community stands at the center of it all. Each year, VOICES of MT. VERNON grows in reach and intention, deepening partnerships and amplifying the stories that shape the city’s identity.
This is where heritage is honored, where new narratives take flight, and where every poem — every voice — matters.
